Taylor University students return to UDA

On August 30, at the central campus of the Universidad del Azuay, the American students of Taylor University were welcomed.

The four students who arrived in the country will take the subjects of Physiology and History of Ecuador for a semester; These subjects will be taught in the English language. John Radax and Andrea Neira are respectively the teachers in charge of the chairs given in this exchange.

The link between the Universidad del Azuay and Taylor University began approximately 14 years ago and is resumed after a year of pandemic.

“This agreement shows that foreign universities, such as Taylor University in this case, trust the work done by the University of Azuay. The way in which these exchanges and agreements have been developed has been high in ethical and contact quality and helps the students. They are very happy to be here and we are even more so ”, says Marcelo Calle, Director of the Department of International Relations at the University of Azuay.

The agreement with Taylor University, coordinated with the Taylor Foundation in Ecuador, represents one of the great pride of the Department of International Relations in its fulfillment of objectives, assuring the university community an enrichment of culture and language.

In this agreement, in addition to receiving American students to campus, UDA students have the possibility of traveling during the vacation period to the American campus, specifically to the state of Indiana.

This represents an opportunity for the UDA students to improve their English language and become closer to the American culture. The call for students who wish to take advantage of this opportunity will open in October for 6 students.

For the Department of International Relations, this is one of the achievements that make UDA a reliable university in terms of knowledge, educator of good professionals and with solid and recognized international links.
