For his part, Hernán Salgado, president of the Ibero-American Institute of Constitutional Law, Ecuador section, addressed the audience remotely, highlighting the importance of ensuring that the reflections and concerns addressed over the years in the field of constitutional law reach not only specialists but also the general public. There are fundamental issues that deserve to be debated openly and participatively in spaces like this, he commented.
For his part, José Chalco Quezada, dean of the Faculty of Law at our institution, noted that commitment to the country and to democracy is demonstrated when academic and professional knowledge is put at the service of protecting institutions within the current political system.
