Master's Network: book presentation
On December 19, the University of Azuay, together with its Publishing House, presented the book "Red de Maestrías" (Master's Network); an event in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The event was attended by authorities, teachers and administrative staff from our university community, family and friends of the authors and the general public.
The book "Red de maestras: Compilación de procesos y métodoes de proyectos final de postgrado" is a publication that brings together the thesis works of outstanding alumni of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art. The work highlights the methodologies used in the projects, encouraging reflection and the exchange of knowledge in the areas of Design, Architecture and Art. This book seeks to strengthen the academic network, promote professional updating and highlight the diversity of approaches in project research.
The event began with a speech by Genoveva Malo, vice-chancellor of the University of Azuay, who expressed her joy at the launch of this book, highlighting that it is the last publication of the year and that it is a very special work. She stressed that the book covers various approaches, contexts and methodologies, offering a significant contribution to knowledge in each of its parts, despite being a compilation. Finally, she thanked the authors and all the people who made the publication possible.
Santiago Vanegas, commentator on the work and compiler of the book, explained that the project aims to promote the development and dissemination of knowledge generated by the entire university community. He also pointed out that the book seeks to reestablish links with graduates who completed their postgraduate studies, both within and outside the country, by compiling and disseminating their graduation projects through a research network; this effort also allows returning students to share their experiences and contribute to strengthening the academic community.
Finally, Gustavo Maldonado, a graduate of the University of Azuay, spoke on behalf of those who published their master's thesis in this work, highlighting what this achievement means to him and his colleagues. He stressed that this publication is of enormous importance, since it not only allows former students to share their knowledge and experiences, but also integrates them into an academic work whose purpose is to enrich collective knowledge.
