Fifth Symposium of Design, Architecture and Art
Between October 7 and 8, the Fifth Research Symposium of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art of the University of Azuay was held through the digital platform Zoom.
The event featured the exhibition of 22 papers that addressed issues related to the epistemology of design, textile, graphic, interior and product design; also to construction technology, human mobility, heritage and housing.
According to Carla Hermida, Research Coordinator of the Faculty, the main objectives of this symposium were "to expose the research projects developed by teachers both to colleagues and to students" and "to transfer knowledge."
In turn, in her welcoming remarks, Dean Genoveva Malo pointed out that this event accounts for a continuous activity that allows us to feed academic life with constant innovation:
"It is a space and a permanent invitation to teachers and students to be dazzled by life, to get closer to reality to know it, learn it, systematize it and then transform it."
To conclude, Hermida mentions that it is interesting to observe how the number of teachers conducting research has increased compared to the number existing in previous editions.
