International Mobility Program: delivery of jackets

On December 18, the University of Azuay, together with its Department of International Relations, carried out the delivery of institutional jackets and flags to the students who will travel to the different mobility programs in the period January - June 2025.

The event was attended by authorities, teachers, administrative staff and students from our university community, family members and friends of the young people who will spend a semester abroad and the general public.

Students who will participate in student mobility programs will travel to different destinations around the world, such as: Chile, Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Sweden and Portugal.

The welcoming remarks were made by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who expressed his joy at the holding of this ceremony, highlighting that it represents a beginning for the young ambassadors who will spend a semester in another country. He pointed out that the university will be at the level of international standards, since students will have the opportunity to learn about other cultures, participate in an enriching exchange and learn new ways of seeing the world, which will allow them to open their minds.

Following his speech, the ceremony began with the delivery of jackets to young people who were studying in different parts of the world.

For his part, Marcelo Calle, director of the Department of International Relations, addressed those present, mentioning that the young people, with effort, dedication and talent, have shown that they are prepared to take on one of the most transformative challenges of their academic life: adapting to an international mobility experience. Finally, he congratulated the students for daring to leave their comfort zone and acknowledged their families, who have been the fundamental pillar that sustains and supports the young people on their path.
