Social integration program "Educate without limits"

On September 22, the “Educa sin Límites” program was held, organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Azuay, with the support of the International Organization for Migrants (IOM).

The project aims to train people in a situation of mobility.

The board of directors was made up of Francisco Salgado, Rector of the UDA; Andrés López, Dean of Science and Technology; Pedro Crespo, Assistant Dean; María Fernanda Rosales, Coordinator of the School of Food Engineering, and Evelin Astudillo, IOM representative.

The Rector welcomed by emphasizing solidarity to change the situation and provide opportunities for all. Next, the Dean expressed the great reception that the program has had with an enrollment of approximately 115 beneficiaries.

This project has seven modules linked to the Schools of Food Engineering and Automotive Engineering. The latter will offer knowledge related to electronics and automotive maintenance. The first has prepared the beverage, chocolate, meat, bakery, fruit and vegetable modules.

The courses will last 120 hours at times chosen by the beneficiary.

María Fernanda Rosales recognized the role of the University and the other members of this initiative that made it possible to support those who need it.

At the end of the training, certificates will be delivered to each of the members who have been part of this initiative, completing the necessary hours.

To end the event, the last intervention by Evelin Astudillo, IOM representative, took place, who encouraged those present to seek better opportunities and be part of this initiative.
