Presentation #9 Casa Tomada Magazine, a tribute to youth and children's literature

On March 19, the University of Azuay and the Casa Tomada Cultural Collective presented the ninth edition of the Casa Tomada Magazine, an event that is framed within the fulfillment of the sustainable development objectives, mainly objective 4: Quality Education.

The event was attended by authorities, teachers and administrative staff from our university community, authorities from the Casa Tomada Cultural Collective, and the general public.

The magazine presented has children's and youth literature as its central theme. Its pages also include a dossier dedicated to the recently deceased Spanish novelist Carlos Ruiz Zafón. The publication's illustrations are authored by Jorge Chalco, María Antonia Aguilar and Diana Vásquez; The memory of José Manuel Castellano and David Ramírez Olarte are evoked in these pages. 

At this meeting, Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, mentioned that it is a beautiful occasion to celebrate children's and youth literature and art, where several authors, painters and illustrators have worked together for this ninth edition and thus, contribute to the good. common. 

The presentation of the work was made by Sara Pachecho, director of the magazine Casa Tomada, who expressed her happiness at the launch of this ninth edition. 

The official launch of the book was done by Carlos Pérez Agustí, director of the collective, representing all those involved.
