Presentation of the book "Words and culture (II)" by Oswaldo Encalada

The 16 of April of the 2018 in the Hall of Multiple Use of the UDA was carried out the presentation of the second volume of "The words and the culture (II)" of the author Oswaldo Encalada, project that investigates the life of the lexicon with it try to write a social history of words, how they change and evolve, how they expand or reduce their significant fields.

"This work, which at the same time is fruitful and still in its infancy, is an unfinished project and realization, because we hope to taste the following text, the one that is about to come and that makes us water to the mouth. This is a book that is created school, in the original sense of the term: it is a work to pass it tasty, "said Francisco Salgado, Rector of the University of Azuay, in the welcome of the event.

Then María de Lourdes Rendón, best graduate of the School of Social Communication of the Universidad del Azuay of the year 2015, had the honor of presenting the book's launch.

"You will be wondering if this book of the meanings of words is a dictionary; Well no, a dictionary is very far and short compared to this truly masterful work ".

Then he finished inviting all those present to read this work and discover their magic from beginning to end.

"Inside the book is the story of the kiss and that I can not tell you at length, but I call those who are interested. There are three types of kisses: basium, osculum y suaviolum. I can not tell you which of the three had implications with the language, that is, with the physical language, "Encalada said while explaining one of the most interesting contents of the book.

Encalada, with this work reaches its fortieth book, added that there are always pending works: "This moment I am working on another book, which is possibly ready at the beginning of next year, and is entitled:" Words and signs of the daily life ", there will appear from the signs of the zodiac to the fifth hells but seen in another way".

At the end Encalada thanked all the authorities of the University of Azuay, who offered support for the launch of the work. Afterwards copies of the book "Words and Culture (II)" were delivered in the back of the Multiple Use Room.
