Presentation of the book "Ecuador between two centuries" by former President Hurtado

The former president of Ecuador Oswaldo Hurtado Larrea presented at the University of Azuay his book "Ecuador between two centuries" -the continuation of the work "The political power in Ecuador" by 1977- in which the author analyzes the political, economic and economic history Cultural of the country.

"I have done this work with documented, verified and verified information," said the author and added:  

“They are analysis, questions and at the same time hope; hope for a country faced and confused with wrong economic models, demagogic social offers, insane leaderships, among others. ”

The presentation of the work took place on September 18 in the Honor Room of the University of Azuay and the board of the event was made up of the Rector, Francisco Salgado; the Academic Vice Chancellor, Martha Cobos, and the Dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences, José Chalco Quezada.

In addition, several university authorities, professors, administrative staff and students attended.

“It is a critical and scientific book that transcends borders. This book gives us an idea for the objective understanding of political life in Ecuador over a period of two centuries, ”said the Dean of Legal Sciences.

Oswaldo Hurtado, who was President between the years 1981 and 1984, has also written the books "The customs of Ecuadorians" (2007) and "Dictatorships of the 21st century: the Ecuadorian case" (2012).
