Presentation of the collection of psychoeducational guides "Community Psychoeducation"
On November 15, the University of Azuay together with its Publishing House presented the Collection of Psychoeducational Guides “Community Psychoeducation” by the authors Ximena Chocho, Norma Reyes and Lucía Cordero; an event in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically goal 4: Quality Education.
The event was attended by authorities, teachers, administrative staff and students from our university community, family and friends of the authors and the general public.
This book takes us on a journey through the fascinating world of psychoeducation, designed to enlighten young minds and serve as a compass for parents and teachers in the noble task of guiding children and adolescents. This collection offers practical strategies and tools that foster well-being and resilience in children and adolescents.
The welcoming remarks were given by Martha Cobos, dean of the Faculty of Psychology, who pointed out that this work is a reflection of collective work, where different topics of relevance in the field of psychoeducation are addressed.
The presentation of this collection was made by Karina Huiracocha, a professor at our University, who mentioned that this collection is the fruit of the effort of those who have shared knowledge from a professional and empathetic perspective; this collection is a compass for parents to guide their children.
The official launch of the work was led by Ximena Chocho on behalf of the authors, who highlighted that each guide in this collection has been carefully constructed from a professional and empathetic perspective, providing parents and teachers with the necessary tools to address topics that are essential but difficult to address.
Finally, María Emilia Páez addressed those present on behalf of the students of the program, who made significant contributions to this collection.
