Italian political scientist lectures in International Studies on the role of UNHCR

The 4 of April the School of International Studies of the University of Azuay and the Directorate of External Relations of the Municipal GAD of Cuenca presented a conference on the role and activities carried out by the United Nations Agency for Refugees (UNHCR) in our city.

The conference was given by the Italian political scientist Gianlugi Pala, Territory Assistant for the UNHCR.

Pala, among other goals, has the objective of supporting the implementation of public policies for the integration and inclusion of the refugee population in the city through the cantonal GAD.

This conference was attended by the students of the sixth and eighth cycle of the career, who also presented their concerns, contributions and reflections on the subject of the situation
of the refugees in the city of Cuenca.
