Participation of the University of Azuay in the III International Seminar on Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen
On April 16, the University of Azuay participated in the International Seminar on Renewable Energies and Green Hydrogen, a meeting organized by the German Ecuadorian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the German Embassy, the Ecuadorian Association of Green Hydrogen and the Chamber of Industries Production and Employment.
The event was attended by Philipp Schauer, German ambassador to Ecuador, Jorge Zehnle, manager of the German Ecuadorian Chamber, Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, members of the different institutions mentioned above, and the general public.
The adoption and advancement of renewable energy and green hydrogen are crucial to addressing environmental, economic and social challenges; They are fundamental elements for building a more sustainable, resilient and equitable future for current and future generations.

For his part, our rector Francisco Salgado pointed out that the University must contribute to society from science and philosophy; Through science, spaces can be created to make new energies a reality, which must have concrete examples that can be seen in the city as soon as possible. This is the importance of the community contributing to this development in Cuenca as a city of energies. renewable and green hydrogen.
He also mentioned that the University has to contribute from ethics, where it moves from an ethic based solely on consumption and accumulation to an ethic of care, care for oneself, the other, the community and care with tenderness. of life and it is precisely that with this new proposal this new way of living is promoted.
