To meet very soon

The University of Azuay launches the campaign "Let's meet in our UDA" in order to raise awareness in the entire university community about the importance of vaccination, with the expectation of a possible return to presence in the month of September.

The first objective with this campaign is to encourage people to get vaccinated, because this is the only method to try to stop the pandemic that we are suffering at this time, said Jessica Bucheli, a member of the Department of Communication.

For this reason, the Bicentennial campus of the University of Azuay in Baños became a vaccination point on Tuesday, April 20, with the presence and help of the personnel of the Ministry of Health and with the university personnel and students of the Medicine career.

In conjunction with this opening, an information capsule was produced on the activities that the University carries out to combat the pandemic, by Dr. Mateo Torracchi.

This information can be found on the official pages of the Universidad del Azuay with the hashtag "# EncontrémonosEnNuestraUDA".

"Let's meet in our UDA" also seeks to teach the entire university community the security and protection measures that must be taken today due to the global situation.

Bucheli indicated that thanks to the management of Francisco Salgado, Rector of the University of Azuay, it was possible to obtain vaccines for teachers, administrators and managers, however, it continues to manage to achieve a timely and rapid vaccination for students.

It is estimated that this vaccination process will start from the month of May, however, the date is not exact due to dependence on what the Ministry of Health has.

Currently, the vaccination process for primary, secondary and high school teachers is in effect, which began last week and has a deadline of May 20.
