New authorities in the UDA

Fernando Córdova and Pedro Samaniego have been formally made official as Financial Administrative General Dean and Director of Planning of the University of Azuay, respectively.

"The authorities have entrusted me with this new position and I have not hesitated to assume it because of the great affection and commitment I have with my University, with my colleagues and friends, of this, which I consider my home", said the architect Córdova and added :

“From the first day I have thought, reflected and designed a financial planning for these economically difficult moments, based mainly on savings and prioritization, and that despite the times of crisis that the Ecuadorian university is experiencing, allows our institution to continue projecting itself towards the future".

For the new Dean, dynamism and speed in decision-making is key, where technology, new financial tools and, above all, the human team make it possible to find agile solutions and look forward with optimism.

"I believe that for a financial manager and administrator there are no times of crisis, all are times of learning, creating, innovating, and moving forward", concluded the architect.

Pedro Samaniego, for his part, also referred to the current situation caused by the pandemic:

“The moment that the whole world is going through due to COVID19 has undoubtedly changed our lives, and the loss of life is the most painful thing to bear; our society and the University are no exception to this reality, and the impact that this causes are multiple and have many nuances and implications ”.

For this reason, the architect Samaniego considers that planning has become more complex.

"It is necessary to constantly analyze the possible scenarios that could be had, to face in the best way this complicated and complex time that the University of Azuay has to face."
