"Not one degree more, not one species less"

"Not one degree more, not one species less"

"Not one more degree, nor one less species", "Without water, the nickname is not cooked" or "Science proves it, the crisis is real" were some of the slogans about 100 young people from the School of Biology and citizens who expressed this March 15 their demand for urgent actions that the planet needs.

The demonstration was self-organized thanks to the organization of the students and the motivation of the teacher Rafaella Ansaloni, who met at the Calderón Park to march in tune with more than one million young people from over 2.000 cities who demanded immediate actions and radicals to face climate change, inspired by Greta Thunberg.

Greta is the young Swedish woman who has touched the hearts of millions of people who have mobilized to express a feeling to society and especially to those who believe in the fiction of infinite economic growth and who relate high consumption to "development"; for them and their representatives a clear message: "There is no planet B".

"Friday for future" will continue to be manifested until plans, programs and projects are executed responding to the environmental crisis, since this struggle is not won from social networks; it is won from the streets, demanding what is fair for human societies and the other species with which we share existence.
