NATURESS: opening program
On February 06, the University of Azuay, the University of Cuenca and Ghent University held the opening program of the project "Nature-based solutions for sustainable sanitation in Ecuador NATURESS"; an event in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The event was attended by authorities and teachers from our institution, members of the different institutions that took part in this event and the general public.
The welcoming remarks were given by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who highlighted the importance of implementing nature-based solutions and thus contributing to the care of our environment. He also congratulated those who have led this project and emphasized the need to build a better and sustainable future for all.
At the end of his speech, the various planned conferences began, in which topics related to sustainable water management and decentralized sanitation were addressed, exploring the use of green technology, nature-based solutions and participatory approaches with the community.
