Michael Meissner: appointment as Honorary Professor
On July 8 at the University of Azuay, Michael Meissner was appointed as Honorary Professor of our institution; event that falls within the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The event was attended by authorities, teachers and administrative staff of our university community, friends and family of the honoree.
The welcoming words were given by our rector, Francisco Salgado, who mentioned that this unique act deserves recognition; He indicated that there are several reasons why they have believed it pertinent to make this recognition, but without a doubt his ability as a musician and his vocation to investigate and make known the value of Ecuadorian composers stands out.
In turn, Michael Meissner, as Honorary Professor, who expressed his happiness and gratitude to the institution for the designation received, noted that with it, he hopes to contribute to the diversity and academic importance of our university community.
