Improve territorial management capacities

On March 8, the course “Introduction to Geographical Information Systems Integrated to the Territory” began, which takes place in virtual mode from March 8 to 31 from 18 to 20 p.m.

The purpose of this academic event is to strengthen territorial management capacities, at the basic level of the user, on geographic information systems.

The instructor is Paúl Bravo with the academic direction of Omar Delgado Inga.

The intention is to develop the basic skills of students in the field of planning and land use, indicated Omar Delgado, academic director of the course.

Delgado also explained that of the 40 hours of the course, 10 are synchronous, 20 are self-learning and 10 are autonomous work.

In this framework, 9 practices will be carried out, starting with an introduction to the theoretical foundations of geographic information systems.

The course is intended for technical personnel, officials from the urban planning area, public and private persons related to territorial management and development, as well as technical personnel and officials from the different decentralized autonomous governments and related university students interested in this matter.
