Within the framework of the celebrations for the first 50 years of the Faculty of Management Sciences, the School of Marketing organized different talks on the subject of marketing and digital commerce.

The talks were held on November 16 and 18 and the invited speakers were Ana María Cano, Magister in Business Administration, and Taylor Barrenechea, Doctor in Strategic Business Administration.

According to Francisco Álvarez, member of the Academic Board of the School of Marketing, the purpose of the talks was to motivate students to listen to “people with expertise from another point of view".

On November 16, Cano spoke about the Marketing Audit and about the indicators and metrics used to measure the effectiveness of the strategies employed.

On November 18, Barrenechea spoke about E-Commerce and Digital Marketing.

For Francisco González, President of the School of Marketing, "the talks allowed to reinforce the knowledge acquired in the classrooms and contribute to the academic growth of the students."

Finally, González added: "The more knowledge a person acquires, the more skills they have to do what they like."
