Master in Architecture, mention in Architectural and Urban Projects

The University of Azuay will open eight master's degrees and one specialization in early 2021. One of these programs is the master's degree in Architecture with a mention in Architectural and Urban Projects, directed by Carla Hermida.

The architect commented that this postgraduate program was created with the aim of being a meeting point between the architectural project and urban planning.

"There are master's degrees that focus only on architectural projects and others that focus only on urban projectors, we focus on both," Hermida said.

He also stated that it is basically aimed at architects, due to the required drawing skills, but added that a door has been left open for people who are interested in these topics and who have these skills for drawing.

In addition to the architect degree, candidates are asked for a certificate of advanced English (if they do not have one, they can take a knowledge validation exam provided by the University of Azuay). Then there is a selection process that involves an exam and an interview.

The quota limit is 30 people and the cost is $ 500 for tuition and $ 8 for tuition. It lasts for a year and a half, in which the first 13 months will be classes and the last months will be left for professionals to do their thesis.
