UDA virtual tours start at the library

In times of pandemic and quarantine, virtual classes and social distancing, the Universidad del Azuay enabled virtual tours to exhibit spaces from its central campus, as well as from other campuses of our institution.

“Our university has always been open to visitors, however, the current sanitary conditions forced us to close the doors momentarily; the virtual tour was born as a response to these conditions ”, says Paúl Carrión, professor at the Faculty of Design and photographer of the Department of Communication in charge of this initiative.

The first of these tours available is that of the Hernán Malo Library, as it is one of the buildings that has undergone the most profound changes during this time:

“A big change in infrastructure, but also as a metaphor for the vision that the University has for the future, a renovated library, with open bookshelves, with wide and comfortable spaces for reading, research, also with coworking tables, with spaces reserved, but also with outdoor spaces, which uses electrical energy panels for its sustainability ”.

In the future, it is planned to expand the route to all the faculties, their classrooms, laboratories and more representative spaces, in addition to their corridors and gardens.

Also, these virtual tours will be carried out through the House of Service to Society, and the La Trabana and UDA-Baños campuses.
