Students discuss ethics and society

On November 24, 25 and 26, the Ethics, University and Society International Student Congress was held, whose main objective is to promote reflection through education and debate, thus contributing to the increasingly important positioning of ethics. in all university settings.

This congress is based on the framework of Goal 17, Partnerships to achieve the objectives, of the SDGs proposed by the United Nations (UN).

During the event, students from various countries met to discuss and make visible, from the perspective of university students, the reality of ethics and bioethics from different areas of knowledge.

The thematic axes discussed were: Conservation of Ecosystems, Health and Sanitation, Energy, City and Sustainability, Reduction of Inequalities, Innovation, Economy and Production, and Justice and International Cooperation.

As it is an international event, it featured presentations by experts such as the Spanish Adela Cortina.

Other speakers were students from the University of Azuay, each representing their respective schools.

There was, on the part of the organizing group of the event, a team of teachers who advised the students from the beginning to collect data and define their research in an adequate way.

Added to this was the possibility of publishing their academic articles in scientific journals.
