"Leaders for Peace and Democracy" Welcome to the School of Effective Leadership for Youth
With the help of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (-KAS- for its acronym in German), a political foundation active throughout Germany and abroad, and with the presence of the vice-rector for research Raffaella Ansaloni and Dr. José Chalco Salgado, the On Thursday, September 28, the School of Effective Leadership for Youth was welcomed at the Teatrino of the University of Azuay.
The objective of this school is to train skills to exercise effective, participatory leadership, with an impact on strengthening democracy. The representative of KAS Ecuador, Johannes Hügel, mentioned that this school “wants to be a place where peace, democracy and values grow, where young people can grow freely.”
In her speech, Raffaella Ansaloni stressed that “ignorance of basic democratic rules is an enormous danger for society” and that for that reason this school “is an important moment to promote the need for dialogue and democracy within political life.” ”.
At this event there will be speakers such as: Phd José Chalco Salgado, Ana María Bustos Cordero, Father Marcelo López Seminario, Nicole Cueva Orna, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, and Luis García, who will speak about different topics, among which the freedom of democracy stands out. , effective leadership and the importance it has in the professional lives of students. School starts on Thursday, September 28 and ends on Monday, October 2.
