"Lessons in Constitutional Law" by Hernán Salgado. Presentation of his book, a rigorous treatise on Law that takes care of the country, the institutions and encourages hope
On June 5 at the University of Azuay, the presentation of the book "Lessons in Constitutional Law" was held by our honorary professor, Hernán Salgado Pesantes; event that is framed within the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically goal 16: Peace, Justice and Solid Institutions.
The event was attended by authorities, teachers, administrative staff and students from our university community, former president Guillermo Lasso, recognized authorities of the city and the country, friends and family of the author and the general public.
Lessons in constitutional law is a fundamental book in the understanding and study of Constitutional Law in the world and in our State. This work was already presented in Quito by the Pontifical Catholic University, by the current vice president of the Constitutional Court, Carmen Corral; and in Guayaquil by the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil, presented by the judge of the Constitutional Court Teresa Nuques.
The welcoming words were given by Francisco Salgado Arteaga, rector of the University of Azuay, who pointed out the importance of the role that the academy plays in welcoming and inspiring young people in an environment of harmony; where dialogue prevails with a spirit of understanding to together build a better future.
The presentation of the work was made by José Chalco Salgado, Advisor to the Rectorate and prominent professor of our Faculty of Legal Sciences; In his speech he mentioned that Professor Hernán Salgado and his legal work reflect the care of the country, law and academia, through hope. Hope in learning constitutional law that cannot be alien to reality, rigor, honesty, dedication and passion.
The launch of the book was carried out by the author, an honorary professor at the University of Azuay, who addressed the public expressing his joy and gratitude for the book presented. He also mentioned his great vocation for being a professor since he was little, highlighting that the vocation is important and the Teaching has enormous merits, where by building the utopia of knowledge, one day you will reap great and important fruits.
Finally, a toast of honor was given by José Chalco Quezada, dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences, on the occasion of the work presented.
