Launch of the book "Moralista" by Juan Morales

On February 18, the presentation and launch of the book "Moralista" by the author Juan Morales Ordoñez, published by the UDA publishing house, took place.

This book collects opinion articles published by the author from 2016 to 2020; address contemporary problems -local and universal- in the light of ethics and bioethics.

Francisco Salgado, Rector of the UDA, indicated in the welcome that higher education means training in the best of knowledge of the technology of the scientific method, but it is a training that must be for the higher, for ethics and aesthetics.

The Rector added that the work "seeks a convergence of the worlds of science and philosophy."

Then, Ramiro Lazo, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Education Sciences, reported that the 111 articles published address topics as different as “corruption, ethics, bioethics, social reality, personal reality, experiences of reality, defense and foundation of values ​​and principles of the human being ”.

Finally, Juan Morales explained that all these years we have lived a virtual reality that has made us move away from the parallel daily life.

"We place uncertainties and perplexities, rejecting what has been built, delving into our weaknesses, to shout that what worked was not as good as it should or as perfect as it had to be," he said.
