Launch of the book "Descriptive and Inferential Statistics"

On October 14, the Publishing House of the University of Azuay launched the book "Descriptive and Inferential Statistics" by economist Wazhington Proaño.

The text is structured in two parts, in a first block is the field of descriptive statistics and in a second block is inferential statistics.

"Statistics help decision-making that affect life itself or collective well-being, through its great application in sciences such as economics, marketing, or in general in the social sciences," the author mentioned.

The Rector of the UDA, Francisco Salgado, added that statistics does not remain only in people of great understanding, understanding, who can analyze the data with greater certainty, but is present in our daily lives based on the news that we obtain from through the media and come to our attention.

In addition to the Rector, the Academic Vice-Rector, Martha Cobos; the Vice-rector for Research, Jacinto Guillén; the Dean of Administration Sciences, Oswaldo Merchán; the Dean of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art, Genoveva Malo; teachers, students, friends and family of the author.

“This book for me is written with blood ink from the heart because it cost me, I put a lot of passion into it at the time of writing it because I knew that it had to be made simple, practical and that is how it was conceived not only by those who did the style review but by the students themselves ”, Concluded the author.

This is the second book published by the economist Proaño with the Editorial House of the UDA, since two years ago he published a work on business finance. During the launch of his new book, he announced that he is preparing to write his third book on multivariate statistics.
