Launch of the book "Sketch of the interior space"

On February 11, the book “Sketch of the interior space” was officially launched by the author Álvaro Larriva in the auditorium of the University of Azuay.

It was attended by Francisco Salgado, Rector of the University of Azuay; Martha Cobos, Academic Vice Chancellor; Jacinto Guillén, Vice-rector for Research; Genoveva Malo, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art; Rafael Estrella, Deputy Dean of the Faculty and commentator on the work, and Toa Tripaldi, Director of the Department of Communication and Publications

The launch began with a brief description of the book, highlighting the importance of freehand drawing practices as a functional tool to develop the tasks of elaboration and construction of ideas within interior design.

The book is divided into three chapters, the first of which is called "The trade of the freehand sketch", which goes from the description of the freehand drawing to the exploratory and reflection sketch.

In the second chapter "The sketch in the description of the project" the author shows us how to translate ideas into quick drawings that can be easily understood and with an approach to precision technique. Finally, in the third chapter entitled “Techniques essay”, Larriva seeks to reach another level of depth in the color schemes and in the same way in the basic techniques such as pencil, pen, marker and watercolor.

“This is another of the books through which the author will live forever in the memory of those who can turn to those ideas, to those proposals to make these sketches of interior space and contribute to society; the persistence of the human being is something so wonderful because it transcends our limitations of a time and a space ”, were the words of the Rector.

On the other hand, Rafael Estrella referred to the author and indicated that "surely his skill in artistic drawing as a technician made him worthy of such a call and for more than 35 years he has taught and taught these skills to hundreds of young people."

Finally, Álvaro Larriva, author of the book, thanked the authorities of the University and the Faculty, his students and also his relatives for having accompanied him throughout the book production process.

The presentation of the book is in digital format and has 138 pages and can be downloaded through the following link:
