Launch of the B-learning Course: Prehospital Care in Work Environments

The University of Azuay, CEDIA and the Citizen Security Council presented the July 14 course Prehospital Care in Work Environments.
The launch of the course was held in the Multiple Use Room of the Faculty of Management Sciences at 10h00 and was chaired by Martha Cobos, Academic Vice-Rector, Jacinto Guillén, Vice-Rector of Research, and Juan Pablo Carvallo, Executive Director of CEDIA .
"It is a responsibility of the University to make available to the public courses like this that enable participants to respond adequately to possible accidents and medical emergencies in work environments," engineer Guillén.
For his part, Juan Pablo Carvallo was emphatic when mentioning the importance of having the support of the University and the teachers in this course. The last intervention was given by Mónica Ordoñez, Coordinator of the Telemedicine and Telehealth Working Group of the CEDIA Network.
Ordoñez explained that the course will start the 31 in July and has a curricular value with endorsement by the organizing institutions of 80 academic hours, which are divided into 60 theoretical hours in the virtual platform OPEN EDX of CEDIA and 20 practical hours that will be dictated in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Azuay.
The course is aimed especially at health professionals, brigade members, engineers, technicians, students or other professionals related to occupational health and safety issues, but it is open to all citizens.
