The University of Azuay and the Municipality of Chordeleg in alliance for life and nature

On March 1, the Interinstitutional Cooperation agreement was signed between the Municipal Decentralized Autonomous Government of Chordeleg and the University of Azuay for the recovery of native flora in the Tultul Paltarrumi sector belonging to the La Unión parish; event is framed within the fulfillment of the sustainable development objectives, specifically objective 17: Alliances to achieve the objectives.

Its objective is to promote the recovery of native vegetation cover in a priority area of ​​the Tultúl Patarrumi sector, corresponding to the Collay vegetation and protective forest area, based on active and passive interventions.

At this meeting, our rector, Francisco Salgado, addressed the public, pointing out the importance of working with Mother Nature, contributing and seeking the common good, highlighting that the fundamental thing is to make the flora flourish again in this area.

For his part, Deifilio Reinaldo Arévalo Vásquez, Mayor of the Municipal GAD of Chordeleg, also intervened, mentioning the importance of the signed agreement and thanked our institution for the support provided. 

This agreement will be of great contribution to our community and the canton involved.
