The University of Azuay and EDEC EP sign an agreement in search of economic reactivation

On June 14, the signing of a specific cooperation agreement between the University and the municipal public company for economic development of Cuenca EDEC EP took place at the University of Azuay. The objective of this agreement is to carry out the linkage project entitled "Development of business skills and business management in EDEC EP entrepreneurs", which is a training program aimed at providing techniques to improve business skills and management of the entrepreneurs involved.

This event was developed in compliance with the sustainable development goals, specifically goal 17: alliances to achieve the goals. Internally, this firm serves to collaborate closely with the Faculty of Administration Sciences, because it will involve professors and students.

Several authorities from the University of Azuay were present at the signing, headed by Francisco Salgado Arteaga, Rector of the University of Azuay. On behalf of EDEC EP, Dominique Baquero Larriva, general manager, was present.

During his speech, Rector Francisco Salgado Arteaga highlighted the benefits that this signing will bring to many people, since this agreement will promote an economic recovery that is crucial for a dignified life by creating multiple opportunities. Similarly, he stressed that these actions must go beyond mere words.

Dominique Baquero Larriva, in his speech, expressed his satisfaction at the start of this relationship with the UDA. -It is a good beginning of relations with the University, and we hope that it will be the first of many to continue promoting economic development through the helix that makes up the academy, public and private companies- commented Baquero.

In conclusion, the signing of the cooperation agreement between the UDA and EDEC EP promotes an economic reactivation through the alliance between the academy and the public company, in the same way the intention of the two institutions is to continue in constant collaboration in other projects that seek the well-being and prosperity of society.
