The UDA triumphs in 2018 interuniversity sports games
The Universidad del Azuay was second in the general medals table of the 2018 Interuniversity Games that were held at the Escuela Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL).
More than 1.400 students from 28 Ecuadorian universities participated in various sporting contests that took place between the 10 and the 14 in December.
The disciplines were soccer, volleyball, basketball, athletics, table tennis, taekwondo, field tennis, swimming, handball and chess.
"Together with the entire ADEUDA team we worked hard, many months ago to get to that event in the best way, and after 5 days, in which everything was left, I can say joy and pride, that we are the Second best university in the sport of the country, "said Daniel Sichel, president of the Sports Association of the UDA.
The athletes of the University stood out in disciplines such as basketball (women were champions and men vice champions), volleyball (the women's team was champion), swimming (women vice champions and men champions), Taekwondo (vicechampions by teams) and tennis ( first place by points of our delegation).
