The UDA pays tribute to its laureates

The University of Azuay recognized this November 8 to the best graduates of the 28 races, who wore a laurel wreath, destined in Ancient Greece and in Rome to the great poets, sportsmen and warriors.

With great applause from the public the entrance of the laureates was made, to later give way to the National Anthem of Ecuador, which was interpreted by the Polyphonic Choir of the University of Azuay. 

Marta Cobos, Academic Vice Chancellor, welcomed the event and recalled the values ​​of the founders of the University, with the analogy of the trees that were planted by them and that grow stronger every day, like our Institution.

Subsequently, the diplomas and medals were awarded to students who achieved the Honorato Vázquez award and the recognition of the best graduates of each career.

The winning students were: Sigüencia Muñoz Adrián Artur; Eljuri Salazar María Lorena; Blacio Aguilar Cristian Homar; Trujillo Orellana Andrea Alexandra; Heimbach Torres María Denisse; Peñafiel Córdova Gabriela Estefanía; Serrano Tama Paulina; Cordero Delgado Pablo Agustín; Carrión Astudillo Pedro Luis; Durán Puno Sara Camila; Serrano Bajaña Fabian David; Ottati Vélez Fernando José; Gutierrez Urgiles Erika Jacqueline; Rivera Urgilés Carmen Anaís; Gutiérrez León Juan Adrián; Carrasco Carrillo María Cristina; Tintin Durán Estéfany Elizabeth; Quito Vidal Nataly Estefanía; Martínez Ramírez Paulina Isabel; Ferrari Ferrari Micaela; Bustamante Sanmartín Rosaura Eugenia; Lamb Guillen Ana Isabel; Vélez Malo Natalia; Cabera Capelo Tatiana Monserrath; Montesinos Márquez Juliana; Bravo Celi Adriana Carolina; Enríquez Peña Ana Carolina and Pizarro Gordillo Edgar Jhonatan.

To conclude the event, María Cristina Carrasco spoke on behalf of the laureates.

"Once someone told me that true joys only come with effort, today standing here understand that phrase, and I understand that all that effort has its reward," said the graduate of the School of Organizational Psychology and concluded.

"Beyond careers, averages and ideals, all the laureates here have something in common, we have sacrificed several things to get to the place where we are and each one of us leaves a mark on the University".
