The UDA celebrates Ecuadorian congress of students of Industrial Engineering and related careers

The 8 of June in the Auditorium of the University of Azuay was held the inauguration of the "Thirteenth Ecuadorian Congress of Students of Industrial Engineering and Related Careers" with the theme "Management of the business value chain".

The event was attended by the Vice-Rector for Research of the University, Jacinto Guillen García, who commented that "the university must not only transmit knowledge through its regular activity; to transcend, the university has to generate knowledge and this must be exposed through extracurricular events such as symposia, workshops, seminars, congresses. Here lies the immense importance of events like today's. "

The conference began with talks on "Cleaner Production", by Iván Coronel; "Planning of business resources", dictated by Erick Orozco; "Read basic tools", given by Damián Encalada and "Servucción", by Esteban Crespo.

A discussion on corporate sustainability was also held with representatives of Colineal, Piggis and Graiman.

On Friday, the congress continued with technical visits to companies and institutions such as Azende, ECU 911, Vitefama, Latitud Cero, among others, and on Saturday, to conclude, two conferences were held: the first, by María Dolores Bermeo, dealt with "Technology and Innovation" and the second was on "Supply Chain Management", dictated by James Arias.

In addition, several workshops were held on topics related to the talks given.

"We held this event because we believe that young people are responsible for generating a contribution to science, technology and current technology on the structure, operability and management of the business value chain, as well as disseminating these contributions in the sectors social, economic and productive ", concluded Verónica Guillen, president of the congress.
