On February 1, the University of Azuay together with its Publishing House presented the book “Examination of movement - The neurofunctional psychomotor approach”, an event that is framed in the fulfillment of the sustainable development objectives, mainly objective 4: Quality Education. 

Elena Simonetta's book represents an excellent response to the neurofunctional psychomotor aspect of specific learning disorders, an evaluation and intervention tool that will be very useful and effective for all those who deal with education and rehabilitation, whether they are doctors, psychologists, educators. or therapists.

This technical-operational manual allows professionals who operate with people of developmental age, in the educational or therapeutic field, to carry out a scrupulous psychomotor evaluation through the Psychomotor Neurofunctional Examination. 

At this meeting, our rector, Francisco Salgado, addressed the public, highlighting the effort of the translation of this book that allows us to learn in our language a fundamental methodological proposal for the first years of life of the boys and girls of the world, contributing significantly to the area. of psychology. 

In turn, Ximena Vélez, deputy dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Human Sciences and presenter of the work, commented that resources like this book are the guiding perspective that is needed in the exercise of caring for children, so that practices are more sensitive and in tune. with your needs. 

The official launch of the work was carried out by the author Elena Simonetta and finally Karina Huiracocha, director of the project, gave some closing words on behalf of the team.
