The word of Monsignor Luna

The word of Monsignor Luna

This December 8th, the book “The word. From crisis to hope ”, edited by the Publishing House of the University of Azuay, with a compilation of homilies by Monsignor Luis Luna.

In these texts, Monsignor Luna narrates, among other situations and dilemmas, the crises that he experienced and how they cemented his path to faith.

For this reason, the launch took place within the framework of the current crisis caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, since its teachings seek to encourage people to seek strength in their faith and spirituality.

The act began with a video of Monsignor Luna where he directly relates politics to corruption and adds that faith and the search for values in words is what the world lacks.

The Rector of the UDA, Francisco Salgado, stressed that the book is a guide on how to be more human by serving love, “to realize that we live, and because we live we love”.

Along the same lines, the Academic Vice Chancellor, Martha Cobos, said that the work "invites us to go beyond reading, it is time to reflect."

"The word. From crisis to hope ”deals with transcendental topics such as life, the couple, dignity and death.

The intention is that these thoughts be applied as divine and human principles, indicated María del Carmen Ochoa, who spoke on behalf of all the compilers of the homilies.
