The School of Effective Leadership for Youth concludes successfully

Within the framework of the School of Effective Leadership for Youth, the fourth and last day of this event was held in collaboration with the Academy of Catholic Leaders held at the University of Azuay.

The day began with an outstanding exhibition titled "Leaderships that promote Social Peace: keys from the teachings of Pope Francis," presented by the former Minister of Justice and Human Rights of Peru, Marisol Pérez Tello.

After the presentation, five simultaneous work tables were organized, each with the participation of two panelists: a member of the academic committee who provided a global perspective on the topic "Paths to build Social Peace in Ecuador," and an Ecuadorian political leader . At the conclusion of the interventions, each table shared their discussions and reached various conclusions and commitments to address and find solutions to the central issue. This event was an enriching space for dialogue and collaboration in the search for social peace.

Once the meeting was over, the closing ceremony began, which included the presence and presentation of certificates to the students by Johannes Hügel, representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Ecuador; Miguel Ángel Echeverría, former president of the Republic of Costa Rica, and María del Consuelo Orellana, governor of Azuay.

Hügel expressed his happiness at the creation and participation of students within these spaces, whose purpose is to train future leaders of the country. After having mentioned the career of Mahatma Gandhi and his impact on history, the representative of the KAS Foundation made it more than clear that, “the future is in the hands of young people.”

In today's world, leadership is an essential skill for success in life, and only those who inspire and guide others will be able to achieve great things. Without a doubt, the University of Azuay is committed to training professionals who motivate others to take action and achieve positive impacts on society.
