The School of Architecture presents its projects in book form

On September 17, the book "ARQUDA 03, Projects 2019" was presented at the University of Azuay, produced by the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art, and the UDA Publishing House.

ARQUDA projects, in its third consecutive edition, is the compilation of the ordered selection of the best architectural projects that seeks to open the classrooms of the School of Architecture with the purpose of putting their practices to the consideration of society.

The first to speak was the Rector of the UDA, Francisco Salgado, who highlighted "the synergy of professors and students of the School of Architecture, who were inspired by the knowledge and skills to imagine new possibilities."

For her part, Genoveva Malo, Dean of the Faculty, highlighted that the works collected in this edition of ARQUDA belong to the year 2019, the year in which the School of Architecture reached its first decade, “a short time for such an important harvest”.

The commentator of the work, architect César Pérez, then began with a reflection on life in the quarantine, which in his opinion “has allowed us to question the paradigms of Architecture and slow down the day-to-day speed at which we were accustomed ”.

The official launch, on behalf of the book, was in charge of Cristian Sotomayor, professor at the School of Architecture, who highlighted that “it is the eyes of those who see us from the outside that help us to identify the most outstanding academic production of our School".

Lastly, Santiago Vanegas, Coordinator of the race, presented the work in digital form and thanked everyone for “very excited” the presence of all at this event.
