Working day in Medicine with a doctor in Immunology

The 26 of September visited the Faculty of Medicine of the UDA the English researcher Phllip Cooper, doctor in Immunology with extensive experience in research of risk factors in respiratory allergy in relation to parasitosis in our country, especially in the province of Esmeraldas and in Quito 

The visit took place within the framework of the winning project of the XI CEDIA CEPRA call entitled "Analysis of the interrelationships between internal climatic, meteorological and environmental characteristics with atopy and allergic diseases in initial education centers in urban and peri-urban areas of Cuenca" , carried out by the Universidad del Azuay School of Medicine, the Biosciences Department of the University of Cuenca and the Indo América Technological University.

Cooper is a researcher at the Ecuadorian Foundation for Health Research (FEPIS), which conducts research in the areas of immunology and parasitology in children, in urban and rural areas.

During the working day with the prestigious guest, possibilities for scientific collaboration were established.

Cooper is linked to the Saint George University of London (in its research center in immunology and infections) and to the International University of Quito. His areas of interest are allergology, clinical immunology, and epidemiology.
