Production Engineering closes series of conferences on Science and Technology

On July 22, the School of Production Engineering closed the cycle of conferences of the Faculty of Science and Technology called Knowledge and Culture Days with the talk "Complexity and uncertainty in operations and logistics management", dictated by José Pedro García Sabater, professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

Iván Coronel, Coordinator of the School, indicated that the talk of uncertain and complex conditions for the field of production was due to the current "world situation we are experiencing" due to the pandemic.

"This situation also allows us to extract positive aspects, born of an absolutely necessary resilience, such as the organization of this type of event in order to deal with topics of social, business and academic interest," said Coronel, adding:

"We particularly in our career have developed events with a very satisfactory participation and we have seen that society has responded with interest to technical issues, especially in the engineering and technology application sector."

García Sabater's exhibition - who also works as a business consultant in production, operations and logistics - was open to the whole of society and included students, graduates, professionals and businessmen among his audience.
