Incorporation of Sara Vanégas to the Ecuadorian Language Academy
On December 7 at the University of Azuay, the corresponding Ecuadorian Language Academy of the Real Española, held the solemn session on the occasion of the incorporation of Sara Vanégas Coveña as a corresponding member; She, in turn, spoke on the topic “Ecuadorian poetry of the XNUMXth century in its historical-literary context.”
The event was attended by authorities from the university community and other members of different institutions in the city.
The welcoming words were given by our rector, Francisco Salgado, who mentioned that it is an honor to have the presence of the poet Sara Vanégas at the Ecuadorian Academy of Language. He also pointed out that the event that took place provides a space for enjoying the value of the word, community encounter and poetry.
The presentation of the certificate and medal of incorporation was carried out by the president of the Ecuadorian Academy, Dr. Susana Cordero de Espinoza. For her part, the incorporation order speech was given by Dr. María Augusta Vintimilla.
