Signing of Agreement between the University of Azuay and KIA Ecuador
On April 3, the signing of the Specific Research Agreement between the University of Azuay and KIA Ecuador took place, an event framed within the fulfillment of the sustainable development objectives, specifically objective 4: Quality Education.
The event was attended by authorities, teachers and administrative staff from our university community, authorities and workers from KIA Ecuador, and the general public.
The signed agreement aims to implement the research project called “Implementation of a system for the disposal of KIA brand electric vehicle batteries after they have fulfilled their useful life in the automotive sector” subproject: “Reuse of electric vehicles for storage and use of solar energy. ”
The welcoming words were given by our rector Francisco Salgado, who pointed out that the signed agreement is a great alliance that will allow us to explore new fields through research to achieve more sustainable communities.
For his part, José Antonio Errazuriz, deputy manager of KIA Ecuador, addressed the public mentioning that the academy plays a fundamental role in the development of the project that will be carried out and that without a doubt the signed agreement will be of great contribution to the community.
