Signing of Agreement between FEDEC and the University of Azuay
On October 4, at the University of Azuay, the Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement between the University of Azuay and the Federation of Catholic Education Establishments of Azuay was renewed; an event in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically goal 17: Partnerships to achieve the goals.
The event was attended by authorities and teachers from our university community, members of FEDEC and the general public.
The welcoming remarks were made by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who mentioned that the best way to show pastoral care is close to people, teaching by example and with the possibility of doing good to live and flourish in community, for this reason, it has been considered pertinent to renew this important agreement, he said.
In turn, Rosa Quilambaqui, president of the board of directors of the Federation of Catholic Education Establishments of Azuay, addressed those present expressing her satisfaction at the renewal of this agreement, which reflects the joint work and support for Catholic education.
For his part, Monsignor Marco Pérez Caidedo, Archbishop of Cuenca and Chancellor of the University of Azuay, mentioned the importance of walking together and making possible the education of children and young people of this province in Catholic schools.
At the end of the interventions, the agreement was signed.
