Students and graduates of Design exhibited their products in FADIA

The Festival of Design and Art -FADIA- was held at the 16 and 17 in December at the CIDAP Gardens. The event was organized by the student representatives of the Faculty and was attended by the authorities of the University of Azuay.

The objective of the festival was to exhibit a sample of everything that is done in the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Art and expose the products made by students who try to emerge within the profession.

The event counted around 25 ventures of both students and alumni; each offered different products such as key chains, personalized notebooks, hats made from straw toquilla, decoration for the house among others.

The attendees could enjoy music, gastronomy, a fashion show and the intervention of the students of the Theater Arts School. 

The design fair has been developing for several years, however this edition was different, because, according to Israel Marín, president of the Aso, FADIA is a new concept.

"This is the first edition of the festival and we would like it to be maintained and to continue to be promoted, and to make it even bigger," commented Israel Marín.

Admission to the festival was free so anyone could enjoy the fair and purchase the products that were on display.
