Schools of the UDA united in the same project of Linking in Pucará

The January 18 was the launch of the book "Model of Sustainable Innovation for Socio-Territorial Development in Rural Areas of Ecuador" by the authors Claudio Sánchez and Julio César Prado, product of the work between the UDA and the Autonomous Municipal Government Decentralized Pucará .

The Linking project in the dairy plant of the Las Nieves community in Pucará united teachers and students from the schools of Food Engineering, Graphic Design, Marketing and Law.

The objective of this effort was to improve the quality of life of the community, based on harmony with nature, the rescue of ancestral customs, equity, justice and the promotion of interculturality.

Claudio Sánchez, a professor at the University and author of the book, explained that at the beginning of the project only the students of the School of Food Engineering had planned to work with, but later the need to link up with the other schools was seen, since each Academic unit has its experience and can help each other.

This is how the students of the School of Graphic Design were in charge of creating the brand identity and the Marketing students made the samples of the products locally, comparing with other offers that already exist in the market.

The Law School provided legal advice in the creation of the company so that it is a legal entity and the students of the Food Engineering School trained the workers to improve the sanitary conditions of the products.

Everything was reflected in the work that was presented at the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Arts on Thursday night.

"With the commitment of all the teachers of the university, of the community, of the students, of the authorities of the municipality of Pucará, we managed to publish this book", concluded Claudio Sánchez.
