Delivery of uniforms to students for the FISU World University Games Germany 2025
On July 09, the University of Azuay presented uniforms to students who will participate in the FISU World University Games Germany 2025; an event in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The welcoming remarks were delivered by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who emphasized the importance of these symbolic events, as they represent recognition of the young people who will carry the name of the University and the country to Germany. He expressed the institution's pride in the students' efforts, whom he considered an example to their peers. He also emphasized that the university seeks to ensure that sports and culture contribute to the full development of its students.
Following his speech, uniforms were presented to the students who will represent the University of Azuay at the World University Games.
Paula Guevara addressed the audience on behalf of the students, stating that this was an opportunity to grow, learn, and leave the institution's name at the top of its game. She expressed her gratitude for providing them with this opportunity and for strengthening areas such as sports, which are fundamental to student life.
Finally, Marcelo Calle, director of the Department of International Relations, mentioned that the university community will be supporting the students, recognizing their preparation and effort. He expressed his hope that they will be able to fulfill their dreams and achieve their goals.
