Delivery of certificates of the Life Project

The April 3 was held the closing ceremony and delivery of certificates of the Life Project, which from now on will be called "Form your being".

The program seeks the personal development of students and places special emphasis on the transition from school to university.

The workshop modality was used to deal with different topics such as family, social and spiritual development, and the students set goals and cultivated intelligence on an emotional level.

The project is an initiative of the Academic Vice-Rector's Office, directed by Martha Cobos, and has the guidance of Mónica Rodas, Mario Moyano and Xavier Muñoz, teachers of the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Education Sciences.

The participants of this project were the students of all the careers of the University of Azuay that belonged to the first cycle, and students of the last cycles of the Clinical Psychology, Organizational and Educational Therapy courses, professors and administrative personnel were also added.

This process took two years and ended with the delivery of the respective certificates.

"What we are looking for at the University is to focus on people and generate that this university community welcomes them as if they were in a house," said Mario Moyano, teacher and workshop coordinator.

The project has as a future goal that more students continue to be involved, improve the activities of the program and generate a space where the involvement of administrators and teachers can be given.

Mario Moyano said that the result of the process was positive since it can be demonstrated that in the classrooms there is greater integration among the students and that the difficulties have been channeled in time.

"The students emphasize that the space that was generated was positive and a meeting to share; they recognize the interest that the University had for the person; they mention that it has helped them to reflect on their goals and purposes of life and that the dynamics that were carried out served for their integration, "said Xavier Muñoz, teacher and coordinator of the workshop.

The closing ceremony and delivery of Life Project certificates was held in the Multiple Use Room of the University and was attended by Francisco Salgado, Rector; Academic Vice-Rector Martha Cobos, teachers and students who participated in this process.
