The book "Anthology of Contemporary Cuenca Poetry" was presented at the UDA

On April 27 at the Hernán Malo Library of the University of Azuay in conjunction with its Publishing House and the General Directorate of Culture, Recreation and Knowledge, the book "Anthology of Contemporary Cuencan Poetry" by the author Juan Fernando Auquilla was presented. This event was developed within the objectives of sustainable development, especially alliances to achieve the objectives.

The book "Anthology of Contemporary Cuencan Poetry" responds to the category of poetic anthology and brings together authors of contemporary Cuencan poetry. This work is part of the selection of Cuenca poetry and photography anthologies that is carried out between the University of Azuay and the Municipality of Cuenca through their publishing houses.

Juan Fernando Auquilla was in charge of selecting the authors and the texts. In the book the poets and the great literary production are presented, among some authors you can find the members of the ELAN group.

Franklin Ordóñez was the moderator of the event and with very interesting questions we were able to learn more about this book. An important point was the guiding thread of the chosen poems, which is made up of repeated symbols of the poets: loneliness, human dramas, the desire for peace, among others.

Genoveva Malo Toral, Academic Vice Chancellor, highlighted that the event is different, since instead of a classic presentation, a conversation was held. In addition, the Academic Vice Chancellor highlighted that it is an opportunity to enjoy an academic space where you learn in a dynamic and vibrant way.

In conclusion, this format was very entertaining because it allowed a closer interaction between the attendees and the author. Additionally, there was the participation of the public in the reading of some poems, which enriches the cultural experience. Without a doubt, this event is a sign of the community's commitment to culture and an opportunity to celebrate together the passion for books and literature.
