Emotional tribute to our Puma athletes
On February 26, the University of Azuay paid tribute to our athletes for their outstanding participation in the National University Sports Games; an event in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The event was attended by authorities, teachers, administrative staff, students from our university community and the general public.
The event began with welcoming remarks from the rector of the University of Azuay, Francisco Salgado, who highlighted the dedication, effort and perseverance of our athletes. He expressed his satisfaction and pride for those who will represent not only the University, but also the country in Germany. He also highlighted that this achievement is the fruit of years of work and sacrifice, and that today it is reflected in the great reward obtained.
At the end of his speech, awards were given to each of the athletes who participated in this important sporting event.
