Emotional delivery of uniforms to students of the Early Childhood Education School

On February 21, the University of Azuay delivered uniforms to students of the Early Childhood Education School; an event in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The event was attended by authorities, teachers and students from our university community, family members of the students who received their uniforms and the general public.

The event began with the words of Genoveva Malo, academic vice-rector of the University of Azuay, who stressed that it is a special day, full of joy and symbolism, as students leave the classrooms to meet the professional world. In addition, she shared what it means to receive this important symbol, which goes beyond a piece of clothing, as it represents the beginning of a new stage.

Later, Ana Cristina Arteaga, a member of the board of the Early Childhood Education School, addressed the audience, mentioning the importance of pre-professional practice in teacher training. She stressed that they are about to begin a fundamental stage, since this step will bring them closer to the educational reality and their classrooms, where they will be able to experiment, reflect and transform their vision of learning in childhood.

Once the interventions were completed, uniforms were delivered to the students who will begin their internships.

Finally, Paula Arizaga, a student of the program, read a message to her classmates in which she pointed out that the uniform represents the commitment to be role models for boys and girls, and advised them to carry out their work with love. She also stressed that each day will bring new learning, since children are the best teachers.
