Emotional delivery of aprons to our rotating inmates

On August 19, the University of Azuay together with its Faculty of Medicine carried out the ceremony to present aprons to the students of the rotating internship of the Medicine degree; event in harmony with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically objective 3: Health and Well-being.

The event was attended by authorities, teachers and students from our university community, family and friends of our young people and the general public.

The welcoming words were given by Francisco Salgado, rector of the University of Azuay, who mentioned that this symbolic act represents his preparation during these years to serve and tenderly care for life. He also pointed out the importance of doing good and caring for the most vulnerable in the community.

After the intervention, the students accompanied by a family member went up to the stage to place the apron and hand out their ID.

Once the delivery was completed, Pedro Martín Álvarez Dávalos addressed those present on behalf of the students.

Finally, Marco Palacios Quezada, dean of the Faculty of Medicine, expressed his happiness at accompanying young people on this path, pointing out the importance of being prepared and serving others.
